School children and teachers. School was held in the afternoon because the children were required to work in the fields, to raise vegetables for the Japanese. Japanese troops surrounded the camp. While in the fields, outside the camp, we witnessed allied planes being harassed by the Japanese planes that were housed underground behind the camp.
