These are pictures of the Dutch prisoner-of-war(POW) camp from 1942-1945. The photos were taken by the Japanese for propaganda.

Water being hauled before dawn. Water had to be hauled during the dry season. “Uniforms” were made in a sewing center with 200 machines that made everything from underwear to town coats for the Japanese Navy. Our POW uniforms were pink, or denim blue, and badly faded.
